A couple of Amazing Photos

I haven't posted in awhile, but I plan to get to a longer post with stuff I've been up to in a bit (hopefully tonight). But first, here's a couple of pretty cool photos that have been pointed to all over the internet today. First, there's a picture of a mirage that appeared just off of East China and lasted for an astounding 4 hours. I was not aware that such detailed mirages that can be seen by everyone (and a camera) could exist. I've always been aware of mirages like water appearing on a highway really far away on a warm day. So that was a neat picture to see.

The other picture I saw was a picture of a set of twin children. The startling thing is that one is black and the other white! Apparently such a thing is possible, but I have no clue how it happens. It makes a cool picture though and the kids are really cute!

Why so busy?

Why do I feel so busy? This weekend wasn't all that incredibly busy. I mean, I was at a couple of parties, and spent a day with my mom on her birthday on Sunday, but that's not all that busy. And even though I've got a lot on my plate for school, I still come home and don't do much on school. I'll keep working on the various poker and casino promos that have made me a tidy profit over the course of the last year and a bit. What inevitably happens though is I'll sit down and play poker for a bit and then I'll realize that its getting late, and I end up going to bed later than I really should have. I'm still getting between 6 and 7 hours of sleep a night usually, but I still feel like I really need to catch up on sleep. So what am I doing tonight? Blogging before bed. And I'm going to the gym tomorrow for 8am. Here we go again! Still, a number of exciting things are happening.

The Oilers took down game 6 last night and boy was I happy. So were many boisterous fans who took to Whyte ave last night. I'm told it was quite an experience to walk down Whyte ... crazy people everywhere! The Oilers played a so-so to downright terrible game right up to the third period. That was where they promptly woke up and slaughtered the redwings in dramatic fashion. Nope ... the Oilers don't do things the easy way.

I finished off another casino promo the other day. This one was at intercasino for a value of $150 profit. Hoorah! I am now up $340 in casino promos. I've also been playing 2/4 limit at full tilt clearing another deposit bonus. I'm over 2/3 of the way to getting a full tilt microsuede jacket with full tilt points! I like free stuff! Not only that, I made over $160 on one night of play last week. I had a couple of smaller losing sessions this week and then made another $60 tonight. There's a lot of variance, but I feel like I'm playing pretty well and I'm certainly profiting. I've cleared about $70 of my $300 deposit bonus there so far.

First Oilers Playoff Game

Last night I was able to go to my first ever playoff hockey game, and boy was it a blast! The crowd was loud, half drunk and cheering really hard for the hometown Oilers. It was so easy to join in the loud cheering that I no longer have much of a voice today. The Oilers played an impressive game and deserved to win. They played an amazing first two periods of hockey. In the second period, Detroit just couldn't get anything going, and we walked all over them. Detroit managed to come back in the third which set the stage for a nail-biting overtime period that was almost too much. We sat on the edge of our seats for the entire time standing up everytime the Oilers came close to scoring. Finally, the Oiler's put the winner in and we all cheered like mad (I dunno where I found the voice to cheer!). There are three players that I think deserve special mention for this particular game. Chris Pronger, Michael Peca and Brad Winchester. Chris Pronger is a no-brainer. He played a ridiculous 47 minutes last night! With the game going a little shy of 90 minutes, there is no arguing that Pronger is a huge reason the Oilers are doing so well.

Second, Peca. I was immensely impressed with his play last night. There was a huge number of key little defensive plays that I picked up on during the game and I was just so impressed.

Third, Winchester. Where the hell did this guy come from? He played an incredible game, particularly in the first two periods. He had a huge number of offensive chances. He was on the ice for at least 2 of our goals, and he made some very impressive heads-up plays. This guy is going to be huge in a year or two. Heck, he's huge NOW!

There is only one thing I really didn't like about the playoff game experience. Many fans were boo-ing in the middle of the US national anthem. I'm sorry, but that's just not classy. It sickens me that fans think this is a good idea. Have some respect people! Okay I'm done.

A relaxing, unproductive weekend

Well, I hope I can get myself going next week. Both this weekend and the week preceding it were wildly unproductive affairs which is really not what I'm aiming for at this point when there's plenty I *could* be doing. I wasn't even all that busy with other stuff ... I just kept getting distracted by silly little things like Sudoku. I'm aiming to get to bed at a reasonable hour tonight and then get at the work I've got piling up tomorrow. On the other hand, I did get the chance to watch parts of all three hockey games CBC broadcasted today. The Oilers came out with an impressive effort in an exciting game that started at 11am our time *rolls eyes*. Ottawa's game was also quite exciting, even though they lost. I tuned into the calgary game 5 minutes into the third period ... but this one was not nearly as exciting. Anaheim looked in control of the game for most of the period especially with Calgary's Dion Phaneuf making a couple of terrible blunders that basically cost them the game.

In other news, I played some $2/$4 poker today at full tilt poker. I ended up down $2.50 for the afternoon, but I started playing again this evening and at the moment I'm up $38 which is kind of nice for half an hour of play tonight.

I also played in the PSO freeroll tonight, but wasn't all that successful. Its a shame because first place was a cool $2500 USD! I started out well by hitting some pretty good cards, but after that I just couldn't get a hand. I took a couple hits to my stack and then was forced to look for a hand. Finally, I picked up pocket kings and tried to get a double up off of a guy who used to be chip leader but had recently lost nearly all of his stack. He pushed me all in on the flop and I called. He had QT which had hit a ten on the flop ... and he turned the queen to win the pot. Ouch! So I was out in 133 place or so out of 281 people. Not terrible, but I think i could probably have done better.

Playoffs!

When the Oilers are in the playoffs, this is my favourite time of the year. Well, maybe not my only favourite time of year ... but it certainly ranks high! The Oiler game last night was exciting playoff hockey. Despite the disappointing finish, I think the Oil can certainly recover from the loss and come out strong tomorrow. I'm frankly confused with the "afternoon" game tomorrow though. The game starts at 11:00 am mountain time, and the only reason I can think of that they have it that early is because they want to put the triple header of hockey all day on Sunday.

But hockey players are used to coming out to play in the evening. The Oiler game is in the MORNING for us Albertans. Pro or not, those hockey players are going to be way out of their normal hockey game routine ... and I have a feeling we're going to see a sluggish game tomorrow morning despite the importance of the game.

Why is it so important to have a triple header of hockey? Frankly, I don't know.

Anyways, now that I'm done ranting, I watched the Montreal-Carolina game tonight, and was really impressed. I'm kind of a closet Montreal Canadien fan ... they're my favourite team from the Eastern conference and I was glad that they made the playoffs. I was even more happy to see them come out and play a really strong game against Carolina, which is apparently one of the best teams in the East.

Hopefully Edmonton can get their cylinders firing up and take on Detroit with all the skill I know they posess. I'd love to be cheering Edmonton and Montreal all the way to the stanley cup final!!

New Camera

I now, finally, have in my posession a Canon Digital Rebel XT. This digital SLR camera is pretty fantastic, and I am really excited about learning to use it over the coming months/years. I have some material to learn from already, and I'm going to spend a few weeks taking some photographs. When I get a bit of a collection going, I'm going to start a photoblog to post the best ones for all to see! I think it'll be a good way to work on getting better at photography as well as learn as much as I can about it. Stay tuned to this site for more information once I finally release my photoblog! I'm gonna have to make some modifications to my web template since its not really the best thing to hilight photographs. I've done some work on it already, but it will take awhile. That's part of the reason why I won't be launching it right away.

Yay camera!

Housekeeping

Not much of a post here tonight. I just wanted to mention a couple of bits of the current news. The Italy trip is looking like a go ahead for sure. Ryan was looking into plane tickets for us today. Hoorah! Its gonna be a good 16 hour flight to Turin at least. Gotta bring my laptop so I can get some stuff done :)

Next, one of the 2 papers I've been working on of late was officially accepted to AAAI - one of the top notch AI conferences around. So that's pretty exciting! I dunno if I'll be going to Boston for the conference, but it would be cool to do that too.

Next, I did another casino promo, this time at Starluck casino. This time, I was up money almost the whole way through and came out with a $100 profit. Hoorah! I'm gonna wait for my cashouts to clear before I do any other promos. My next plan of action is to do a Party Poker reload followed by a Full Tilt reload. Lots of poker to play in the next couple months!

I am quite enjoying the long weekend. Ryan took us out for lunch today after the hex meeting to the new asian village, which was really cool and nice. I then played a bunch of poker this afternoon and finished up about $60 or so on the day. All in all, the weekend is off to a good start. Sunday I have dinner at Diane's parent's place, and then Monday is dinner with my family. Yay Easter food!

Oilers Make the Playoffs!

Its been an up and down season for my beloved Oilers. At times it has been damn frustrating to watch the team choke against weaker teams. At others, we seem to pull out all the stops and are able to come up with a big win here or there. They just never seem to make it easy on themselves. They've got a lot of talent, and there really should be no doubt that they make the playoffs. If only it were that easy.

Tonight was the 2nd last game of the season. Thanks the Shark's beating the Canuck's last night, it put us in the position to win a playoff spot - if we won our game and Vancouver lost.

Let me just say that the game was a little stressful. To my eye, the refs seemed to miss several penalties. Oh well! The game went down to the wire (which so many of our games seem to) and Ales Hemsky scored the winner with 30+ seconds left to play. A little scoreboard watching later, and San Jose beat Vancouver 5-3. So we're in!

I'm hoping to be able to get to at least one of the playoff games this year. Tickets are gonna be in high demand though, so it's going to be really hard to even get one pair of tickets. *sigh*. Wish me luck!

But we're in! Yay!

Modifications and Updates

I can't quite seem to get enough of tweaking my blogger template. I've added the ability to have short summaries for a post followed by a "read more" link. This will let me split up some posts that are too long for the mainpage so you can read them if you are interested in them. I also changed some of my statistics tracking so it'll be easier for me to interpret what my statistics mean. For those interested, read on for what the issue was! I'm using a great little statistics tracking utility called Performancing Metrics. All you have to do is register with them and insert a small piece of javascript code on your blog and it'll quickly track your site.

The default javascript code sets a variable called z_post_title and then calls pmetrics' script with that variable. In this way, it can track how many times people visit each webpage, and because it is their script, they can record some simple stats like what browser my visitors are using and what their screen resolution is. This, by the way, is something everyone can do ... so don't think that I'm doing something that kills your privacy on the internet!

The trouble I was having is two-fold. First, it was hard to tell whether the visitor was either reading my blog on the mainpage or was somehow getting to the individual posts to read. Most of the time, I'm sure, they would be hitting the mainpage, but I wasn't sure how to tell. It would be nice to see if there were any really popular individual post pages for instance.

I solved this pretty easily because blogger allows use of a couple of tags that differentiate whether the page is an individual post page or a main/archive page. These tags look like this: <MainPage>, <ArchivePage> <MainOrArchivePage> and <ItemPage>. So I set z_post_title like so:

<MainPage>z_post_title="[Homepage]<$BlogItemTitle$>";</MainPage> <ArchivePage>z_post_title="<$BlogPageTitle$>";</ArchivePage> <ItemPage>z_post_title="<$BlogItemTitle$>";</ItemPage>

Now when people see my main page, I can tell because the page title will be preceded by [Homepage]. Otherwise, I'll know that its either an archive page (it'll look like March 2006 if that's the page they were looking at) or an item page because it'll just be the title of the post.

The other problem I had was I was getting some odd statistics. In particular, I was getting lots of hits to items that I had posted weeks ago. It turns out that because I was setting z_post_title for every post on the mainpage, it was overriding the variable every time until the last post on the main page! So, the stats weren't making too much sense since I kinda wanted to have an idea how many people were seeing the *first* post on my page.

I fixed that by doing this:

<script> z_post_title=''; </script>

<Blogger> <script> <MainPage>if(z_post_title=='') {z_post_title="[Homepage]<$BlogItemTitle$>}";</MainPage> <ArchivePage>z_post_title="<$BlogPageTitle$>";</ArchivePage> <ItemPage>z_post_title="<$BlogItemTitle$>";</ItemPage> </script> </Blogger> <script id="stats_script" type="text/javascript" src="http://metrics.performancing.com/bl.js"></script>

That's a complete code snippet of what is needed to do the performancing tracking. My thanks to Chris Garret at pmetrics for suggesting the idea. Basically, I initialize the z_post_title to an empty string. Then, if the z_post_title is not set yet, then I set it to the post title. Otherwise, I let it be. At the end of all the posts, z_post_title is still set to the first post of the page! It works as far as I can tell, but I will find out for sure once pmetrics catches up to my changes.

Feel free to use the idea if you have your own blog and want to use pmetrics in a similar way!

+EV blackjack!

Well, this weekend was interesting on the gambling front. First of all, a guy on the PSO forums noticed that PokerNow has closed down permanently and offered players to transfer the remaining money that they had at PokerNow to an existing party poker account. The great part of this was that he and several people were transfering totals of less than a dollar to party poker and getting $25 and $50 bonuses! So I decided to try this to see if I had any money left in that account. I had $0.01, and transfered it. I got a $50 bonus! I've got to play 500 hands to clear it which shouldn't take long. I've already made $20 playing the super loose .5/1 games.

Second, I decided to try a second casino promotion. For those who don't know, these promotions can be positive EV if you get a large enough deposit bonus and the requirements don't require you to play too long. My first promotion didn't go so well ... I lost my $100 deposit ... and +EV or not, these promotions still have risk because the variance in a lot of these games are huge. I was still intrigued by the idea of +EV casino games, so this weekend I tried Golden Palace's 300% deposit bonus. This time, after a few hours of blackjack, my account reached $290 from my $100 deposit!

So I'm up $90 in casino promotions. It was pretty fun, and a nice break from poker. I really think I needed a break from poker since the past little while has been a tad frustrating.

Digital Camera Shopping

You know, it is very easy to spend money. With my upcoming trip to Italy looking like a sure thing, my thoughts turn to how to catalogue my trip in the best possible way - and I started thinking about a camera. My current digital camera is a Canon Powershot A10 ... one of the first digital cameras on the market sitting at a 1.2 megapixel rating. Don't get me wrong, this camera has served me well ... but I've been wanting for a long time to get into some more serious photography. I love being able to show with pride some of the pictures I've taken in the past to others.

I'm currently very interested in purchasing a Canon Digital Rebel XT using some of my poker winnings. I recently cashed out $1500 US in winnings to fund this. I've read reviews of the camera and I've talked to a couple of friends who already own digital rebels. My only hesitation is that I've only really been seriously considering this for a little more than a week. It's a fairly hefty purchase, and as much as I've wanted this for a very long time, I don't want to make it an impulse buy (since getting into the habit of making impulse buys like this will start to get very expensive fast).

I think I'll probably go out and get it in the next day or two. My plan is to start a photoblog which I'll be able to post weekly or daily photos as an excuse to get out and take some photos and get some exercise. Should be good I think!

On TV!

Well this doesn't happen everyday. Last night (the 30th), I was on discovery channel as part of some coverage of the poker group at the UofA. A few weeks ago, they came through and filmed mostly Darse, but got some footage of me "coding" and a mock "poker meeting". While the process makes me a little cynical at the whole television thing, it is kinda cool to see myself on TV. The video will probably hit the discovery channel daily planet video archive in the next day or two if you want to check it out. I'll post a link in the comments when I notice it there.

The story was actually surprisingly better than I thought it would be. Despite the fake-ness of it, there was actually a decent amount of content (for a short blurb anyways). Cool stuff, that's for sure!

Paper Push

Well, lets see how this goes. Darse and I are working on a paper that is due on Thursday at some undefined time on that day. The nervous thing is that this paper is much less complete than the last paper I worked on. There's *a lot* of writing to do yet. So the next couple days are going to be pretty busy for that! After that, I get to really start concentrating on the Hex codebase in a push to get our hex program ready for Italy (which is looking like a pretty sure thing, as far as these tihngs go). I'm pretty excited!

But first, this paper! This has been a very busy week with many things getting my attention. I had a playoff intramural floor hockey game on Monday, and the playoffs for volleyball are on Thursday. On top of this maddeningly busy schedule, I'm still attempting to make it to the gym most days of the week ... which is helping burn me out faster than before. Ugh.

So ... wish me luck on getting through the week!

New Stabilo Album

This is the first record that I've gotten excited about for a long time. Part of the trouble is that my music library is so vast that I have a hard time giving the songs I already have the listening that they deserve. One of the latest bands that I really latched on to is Stabilo - a band out of Vancouver (if I remember correctly). They had one fairly big hit song called "Everybody" which I really liked. I saw them play in Edmonton at Klondike days, and picked up one of their cds when they were called "Stabilo Boss". I fell in love with their music then, and since then have listened to the two discs I have from them regularly.

I had wondered what happened to them recently since they haven't released a CD in a long time. Thankfully, they're still around and they released a new single recently called "Flawed Design". I got a chance to listen to it today, and it's simply awesome. What I love about Stabilo is they aren't afraid to write a whole bunch of really cool lyrics. The songs have cool rhythms, singable melodies and some harmonics you don't hear a lot in rock music.

All in all, I'm really impressed with the new song and I'm gonna go buy the new cd "Happiness and Disaster" as soon as it hits stores. I think that's on the 4th of April.

Italy?

Wow ... this would be cool. Apparently there is funding available to send our Hex programming team to Torino Italy where they are holding the CG (Computer Games) conference and the Computer Olympiad competition.

I had just about gotten myself out of working on the project with the attempts to focus on my own thesis work ... but now I'm going to have to put some time into the hex project, or I'd feel guilty for going to Italy without doing any work since several months ago. I think the Hex project is one that will continue to suck me in long after I leave the university!

Oddly enough though, this comes at a pretty good time. From talking to Darse and my supervisor, it looks like I'll be cutting back on what I was going to do for my thesis. It's kind of nice because this way it'll be easier to present my thesis as one overall topic instead of a dual focus sort of thing. More on this later, when I know for sure whether this is going to happen.

But that means that I can afford a little more time. Between getting ready for Italy and my own research though, I think I'm going to drop playing poker for a little while so that I have time to spend with Diane and some time to play some brainless games so I don't go insane :)

I'm pretty excited though - it'll be cool to go to Italy!

Calm winterness

There's something strangely calming about walking outside after its snowed. Edmonton got a huge dump of snow this weekend ... making this March the most snowy March EVER. When you walk outside for a bit, there's this hint of quiet beauty in the air. Maybe I'm just imagining it, but the crisp cool air with the clean snow just seems to bring me a feeling of peace. I'm in a weird mood again tonight. I'm not sure what it is, but I kinda feel like the world is rapidly changing around me and there's nothing I can do about it. Have you ever had the feeling where you're drifting away from the world? That's how I feel now, I think.

A lot of the friends I've known in past years have drifted away so much that I either don't even know where they are anymore ... or I do, but I just don't talk to them much. If it weren't for the odd msn collision, I would probably never hear from them again. It feels weird ... like pieces of me are being torn apart. And yet, I can't seem to get off my ass to change things. I should be able to, shouldn't I? I mean, all I should be able to do is make a little concerted effort to have coffee with my friends of old.

Maybe it comes down to energy? At the end of the workday, I find that I don't have enough energy to do much more than sit down, play some video games and go to bed. I would love to get off my behind to go do a project, or learn to play the guitar, or something. If anything, maintaining old friendships seems to be harder than any of these tasks ... and if I can't do these projects, how can I do something harder?

And yet, it bothers me. What can I do about it? I don't know. It tears me up inside though.

On Sweetness

You know, it's odd. This is the first time in a long while that I haven't spend any part of the weekend with my girlfriend Diane. To be frank, she is the most wonderful thing to ever happen to me and being away from her is not exactly what I'd choose if I had a choice. But that's not a problem. Really, it's comforting to know that Diane is still there, on the other side of town ... and that she's with me. Perhaps not in person, but she's there. I can sit here at my computer, look down and see one of the pictures she gave me and I can't help but smile. There really is nothing better than the love of someone who cares for you ... and the chance to return that love in greater quantities yet.

Sorry if this is too sappy, but I'm in a little bit of a weird mood tonight.

Diane and I have been together for more than 2 years. The beginning was a pretty exciting time (as all first months of relationships tend to be) for both of us. I dunno if I'd say that the excitement has worn off. Instead, I would say that the excitement has perhaps ... stabilized. There is something extremely comforting knowing that there's someone out there whom I know loves me perhaps as much as I love them.

Trust. You know, trust is a weird thing. It seems to me that in general it is tough to trust other people. I have been really fortunate to have a group of friends that somehow I know I can trust. Perhaps its because I'm in a close-knit department where I found many like-minded people. At any rate, I feel particularly blessed because the most special relationship I've found in my life ... (Diane, of course) is the person I feel I can trust the most.

I'm not too sure where this post was going ... I think I'm going to wrap it up there. Really though, I think the point of this post is that I very much appreciate the situation I have in my life. I very much doubt that everybody is as lucky as I am when out looking for their significant other. Diane is truly a special person to me.

Adsense, Performancing, and Experimentation

So I'm trying some new things with my blog. I honestly have no idea how many people view my blog - its kind of just sitting here on the web with more posts than I thought I had actually written for it. So, I'm kind of curious what kind of traffic I'm getting (if any) and what people like looking at. Recently, a tool for weblogs called Performancing Metrics was released, and it kind of looks like it will do what I want it to. I now have a tool to tell me how much traffic I get to my blog and find out once and for all how many people don't feel like leaving comments on my posts ;^P.

The other addition is adsense banners. I figure that while I'm at it, I should try out the google ad banners thing. I don't expect to make money from them. Mostly, I'm just trying it out to see what its like (the whole system behind the ads for instance). Of course, I won't complain if you feel like clicking a link or two that interests you ... I will get paid for those clicks, so click away! If I really cared, I would get those ads into places of prominence like the top of the screen or above the links on the right side for instance. But I decided to hide them away so that people won't see them unless they actually scroll down to read my posts.

So umm ... yeah. That's the update for you. I'm kind of not too sure if I like the ads, and might decide to just take them down since I won't exactly get a lot of money out of them. But it's kind of cool to see some of the insides of the adsense program.

Poker Room

Well I finally get to do the Poker Room PSO promotion. PokerRoom.com was my first ever poker room that I signed up for and I played a couple of their freerolls there. What I didn't realize was that that was going to interfere with my doing a PSO promotion there. Fortunately, I was allowed to wait 6 months after closing my previous poker room account and now I've reopened it and am ready for business! So I finally get to play at Pokerroom which is something I've wanted to do for awhile. I really like their software, and they have a lot of traffic which is kind of nice. So that's what I did last night. I also played in the 4th PSO league event. I played terribly - I didn't make a laydown that I should have and that cost me far more chis than it should have. After that, I was shortstacked and didn't get lucky. Oh wells.

Other than that, life has been going really well. The research front is trucking along ... even speeding up a little bit as I help get another paper ready for the end of the month. If this and the paper we submitted last month happen, I'll have 6 papers in my research career before I get to my thesis. Sweet deal!

Diane and I are doing awesome together. We spend a lot of time together and frankly, I couldn't be happier. We've been together for more than 2 years, and it still feels almost dream-like, though I think I'm finally convincing myself that it really isn't a dream. Yay!

This past weekend was a busy one. On Friday, I joined a group of friends for a night of beer tasting. It t'was quite enjoyable. I hadn't been at a drinking party in a long time, so it was kinda fun to do that ... not that I had a huge amount of alcohol. Just enough to feel a pleasant buzz. On Saturday, we went out for Dimsum, and then hung out for a bit before going to a games party that one of the profs in our department put on. It was fun, as usual. Sunday was pretty quiet and I was pretty glad for it. Diane and I joined my parents for dinner to celebrate my sister's birthday. We played some games and it was fun.

So that's my life update. I have no idea how I'm going to keep this pace going, but it's pretty fun at the same time!

Big trades for the Oilers

Well, hockey season is super exciting this time of year. The trade deadline was yesterday, and our Edmonton Oilers are looking poised to make a push higher into the standings and deeper into the playoffs. Here's the trades we made: To Minnesota: 1st round draft pick, conditional 3rd round draft pick To Edmonton: Dwayne Roloson

Edmonton gets a pretty good goaltender and they don't even have to break up any of the team to do so. This really is about as good as it could've got since so many teams are looking for goaltenders. Not only that, teams that were supposed to be offering goalies decided not to trade them after all (Buffalo, Phoenix, etc). So in theory, Edmonton now has their goalie situation sorted out. Here's hoping!

To Boston: Marty Reasoner, Yan Stasny, and a 2nd round draft pick. To Edmonton: Sergei Samsonov

In this trade, the Oilers get a speedy winger who won the 1998 calder trophy, and can score goals. In return, they don't give up all that much at all. I have never really been impressed with Reasoner (though I have had no reason to dislike him). So we give up some prospects for a fast player who looks to fit right into the Oiler style of hockey ... sounds like a good deal to me!

Assuming the team continues to play as well as they have (lots of blocked shots, 2nd fewest shots on goal in the NHL, decent scoring power) ... we should see the team finish strongly in the last 20 games of the season and I am really looking forward to seeing them go deep into the playoffs.

Gooooo Oilers!
